The 30, 000 sq ft Stunning Workspace HQ at Canterbury Court, London.

IIS Space have recently completed the 30, 000 sq ft fit-out of the stunning new Workspace headquarters at Canterbury Court, London. Workspace which lets office, industrial and workshop space to small and medium-sized enterprises was established in 1987 with 18 multi-tenanted industrial estates. The Workspace Group listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1993 and today the FTSE 250 REIT owns over 80 properties, predominantly business centres, all over London.

With the fast expansion experienced by Workspace a new modern and vibrant HQ was required. A new workplace that reflected its brand image as one of the UK’s leading providers of offices and collaborative workspaces.

The new headquarters at are located in Canterbury Court (A Workspace property) which already has 90 small/medium businesses based on site. Canterbury Court is a striking development situated just 15 minutes via tube to the West End, Leicester Square, London Bridge and 20 minutes to The City.

We created a totally new working environment, with modern and bespoke meeting rooms, informal spaces, collaboration zones, breakout spaces and quiet rooms. A new reception area led from the funky meeting rooms into the open planned offices.

The building is uniquely modern, with numerous features that create a sense of engagement and link new features to the buildings industrial era heritage.

The arched sash windows and stone dressings on the facade and interior of the red-brick buildings were sandblasted.A limited palette of contrasting materials, oak flooring, tiling, joinery and steelwork/ironmongery were used to complement the existing materials. The result is a modern yet relaxed industrial vibe.

The project was completed by IIS Space in under four months. We refurbished the warehouse into a modern and versatile workspace that could be adapted to meet the client’s future needs.
