THE PROCESS
Access all areas in live London location
The substantial works were completed over a 22-week period and were carried out within a live building environment. The project resulted in the formation of new office units over two floors as well as the installation of break out areas. Mechanical and electrical systems were reconfigured.
The refurbishment of all common parts included a new entrance and the installation of a platform allowing for disability access to main entrance.
Throughout the building and on every floor, the IIS Space team undertook:
- Redecoration of all corridors and stairwells including sandblasting of walls and corridor floors
- Refurbishment of WCs on all floors
- Construction of multiple new shower blocks
- Construction of kitchen facilities
External works included new canopies to the courtyard area and the installation of metal cladding. This solution is naturally resistant to corrosion, it is extremely durable and does not require costly maintenance.
