Canterbury Court is the head office of Workspace Plc. The client required a new, modern and vibrant head office, that reflected its position as one the of the UK’s leading providers of offices and collaborative workspaces.

Canterbury Court is also part of the Kennington Park complex and home to a diverse and dynamic professional community of small and medium businesses.

THE PROCESS

From industrial warehouse to contemporary work space in 18 weeks

A thoroughly modern design was employed to enhance this unique warehouse building, creating a dynamic head office packed with unique features . All works were required to be       carried out in a live building with restricted access.

Some outstanding features of this project include a sunken library, a gas fireplace in an open plan space and the installation of a vintage mini – in the wall!

This Cat B fitout required substantial works including:

  • Structural openings
  • Heavy demolitions and structural re-enforcements
  • Structural steel work
  • Substantial modifications to existing HVAC system
  • New electrical and feature lighting installation
  • New toilet core
  • Installation of new floor
  • External windows & doors
  • Crittal glazing

  • Installation of a collaboration zone, meeting rooms, open plan desking and boardrooms

Teamwork delivers future-proof contemporary work spaces

The CAT B fitout created a totally new working environment at Canterbury Court. It boasts modern and bespoke meeting rooms, informal spaces, collaboration zones, breakout spaces and quiet rooms.

The use of contrasting materials such as; oak flooring, tiling, joinery and steelwork / ironmongery were used to complement the existing materials. The result is a modern yet relaxed industrial vibe.

The warehouse has been transformed into a modern and versatile work space that can be adapted to meet the client’s future needs.
